SUSTAINABILITY

Environmental and Social responsibility

Our company not only has economic and social responsibility, but we have an important environmental responsibility as well. Our business activity has an impact on the environment and on the climate and it is our responsibility to reduce the impact as much as possible.

This journey is part of our strategy and is implemented through a wide variety of activities of which we show here below some examples.

In our production and logistic site in Germany

The roof surface of our logistics site in Dinkelsbühl (Germany) is equipped with photovoltaic cells. Additionally, we use biogas technology for the heating of our premises: we use approx. 200kw/h from the adjacent region and use this generated heat in all our areas. Thanks to this, we save approx. 30% compared to heating with oil.

In the production halls, we use the waste heat from the machinery. These measures make us save more than 50% on our heating energy consumption. Nespoli is well on its way to energy supplies that are both economically and ecologically sustainable.

In our product development

At Nespoli, product quality is not limited to legal requirements and customer satisfaction, but it also means, environmentally friendly and socially responsible production processes. The protection of consumers' health and environmental sustainability are key drivers in our material selection.  In this way, we make our contribution to sustainability and lay the groundwork for a successful future.

Nespoli - save the Planet

FSC® wood handles for paint tools

Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) is an international non-profit organization, supported by large environmental associations, that support sustainable forest use. FSC® works to take care of our forests and those who rely on them: by protecting plant and animal species, indigenous peoples' rights, forest workers’ safety, and much more.

At Nespoli Group, in our production of wooden paint brushes and tools we exclusively use 100% FSC® certified wood. We use wood that comes from sustainably managed forests. Essentially, this means that the amount of timber that can be taken from a forest in any period cannot be greater than what will grow in the equivalent time. All our production facilities are FSC® certified since many years.

PROCYCLEN – Blauer Engel

Since years we sell paint accessories that are made of an innovative plastic called Procyclen®. This plastic granulate is produced by Interseroh and is made of recycled domestic waste. A special recycling process makes it possible to obtain this high-quality material, which can be used for new plastic products.

The use of Procyclen® results in saving of precious resources and reduction in greenhouse gas emissions for up to 50% when compared to production with of the virgin plastic.

Our engineers worked together with the experts of Interseroh in order to make this special granulated plastic suitable for painting tools.  Since January 2015, Nespoli is producing painting tools and household accessories from this environmentally friendly plastic. The paint trays and grids made from Procyclen are marked with the "Blue Angel" logo.

GreenRoll with SEAQUAL® fibers

Nespoli Group is committed to produce paint tools made of recycled materials.
The Group has chosen a partnership with the SEAQUAL initiative. SEAQUAL® INITIATIVE collaborates with many actors to help clean up our oceans. Marine litter from our beaches, oceans, rivers is collected and sorted by material. The plastic part is cleaned and then transformed into fibres. These are Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified and guarantee compliance with environmental criteria for recycled textiles. These fibres exist in multiple areas such as clothing, accessories, automotive, furniture, but this is a first in the design of painting tools.

Our fabric integrates SEAQUAL® fibres without compromising the quality of paint application. We have developed a range of rollers including short, medium and long pile for different surface structures. Making tools from recycled materials and thus contributing to the circular economy is one of the company's priorities.

BSCI - Our social responsibility

The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) is a leading supply chain management system that supports companies to drive social compliance and improvements within the factories and farms in their global supply chains. BSCI implements the principle international labour standards protecting workers’ rights. It sets out eleven core labour rights, which participants and their business partners commit to implement within their supply chains.

Our production facilities in China are BSCI-audited on a yearly basis. The Nespoli Group assures socially acceptable production conditions and guarantees fair employee conditions as well as safety in its production facilities.
